For this week, I wanted to do something a little different than the usual. We're still going to be covering fashion this week but I'm going to be combining it with my other love - TV.  Pretty Little Liars was a teen drama sensation in 2010's, and I along with many others was absolutely hooked. What really made this show stand out from other teen dramas (besides the fact that they were being cyberstalked for years) was the detail that was put into each character. The four main girls, Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily each had their own very distinct styles that told you exactly who they were. 

I decided to take a deeper look at each of their styles and assign a high-fashion brand to each girl that I think speaks to their personal style.

Spencer Hastings - Ralph Lauren

                                                                                                        

Spencer Hastings is preppy and old money. She's plaid and blazers and equestrian. She is Ralph Lauren. The brand is Americana. Ralph Lauren embodies class, clean cut lines, and riding boots. Not only is Spencer Hastings and award winning horseback rider but her money is as old as it gets in Rosewood. This might be a little cheating for assigning a brand because I do believe that Spencer wore Ralph Lauren on the show, but there's no other brand that could be assigned to her.

Hanna Marin - Marc Jacobs

Hanna Marin is Redwood's resident it-girl. She loves fashion and will not be caught dead in something that is last season. Marc Jacobs is fun and colorful and not afraid to be ahead of the trends. Hanna is sometimes a little too on trend, wearing many things in a show from 10 years ago that would never be worn today, but she wears them with confidence. Unafraid of color and and metallics, Marc Jacobs and Hanna Marin go hand-in-hand in terms of style.

Aria Montgomery - Vivienne Westwood

Aria Montgomery is not afraid to make a statement with her clothes. She's a petite and quiet girl but her outfits are big and loud. Much like Aria, Vivienne Westwood is a fan of making her clothes a statement. She incorporates a lot of patterns and interesting lines such as corset and draping. Almost everything Vivienne Westwood has designed is something I could see Aria wearing. Especially her unique accessories, which Aria is known for.

Emily Fields - Tommy Hilfiger 

Of all the Pretty Little Liars, Emily Fields is the least into fashion (making her the hardest part of this post). If I had to assign a brand to her, the only option there would be is Tommy Hilfiger. Emily is a swimmer and loves a casual outfit, therefore I could definitely see her wearing Tommy's more casual clothes. Their use of linens and casual colors makes them the type of fashion that Emily wouldn't stray from. Personally, if I were to style adult Emily she would be wearing tons of Tommy.
